My husband and I were married on April 19, 2003. The following year after my birthday, Bossman came into our lives at the age of 6 weeks. He was so tiny and cute. We were so excited, as we had no children together, we would raise him as our own. He was very frisky and smart. He was easy to train and suddenly became fascinated with sleeping in the bed with us. He would run and jump on the footstool at the side of the bed and leap on the bedspread, dangling at times. He perfected his technique very fast. He was a loving dog. He bonded with all of our children and grandchildren. He was very protective and aware of his surroundings. He brought a lot of joy into all of our lives.
When I went to work in Afghanistan in 2005, it was hard to leave him. He enjoyed being around family and loved for my husband and I to take him riding. He loved looking out of windows and enjoyed the outdoors. He also loved playing with small stuff animals. I would always think about him and pick up one in the store. I even sent one home in the mail from Afghanistan. My daughters would often pick him up and keep him for us. He loved spending time with my daughter Tonya's dogs Boss Lady and Hunk. Boss Lady passed away in 2005 and it was hard on all of us, especially him. Afterwards, he would sleep in her little basket which was too small for him.
Bossman was never ill. He only was down for a day or so when he received his shots. He was always a house dog, however, while over to my daughter's house, he decided to get out of the back yard and adventure. One the evening of 09Dec 2006, Bossman decided to take his journey to heaven to meet Boss Lady. I am sure we will join both of them there one day. We love and miss both of them very much. Thanks for the great memories.
Rest In Peace
