I wrote this for Dylan when I submitted him to the “Pet of the Week” in our local newspaper a couple of years ago. He was still like this in October. He was always there for me and was my best friend.
This is Dylan, our 18-½ year-old Seal Point Siamese cat. He has a huge personality, sharp intelligence and runs the house with a firm paw. This little 8-pound Siamese has a large presence that fills our home. He is extremely vocal and calls us when it’s time for bed, when he wants a snack, when he wants to play or when he wants to be held and hugged. Yes, he still plays, fetches a ball, jumps on top of the refrigerator and runs through the house. He is well-traveled and has been to more than 10 states and still travels occasionally during holidays and vacations. He is a loyal and trusted friend that will keep a vigil at the bedside if anyone is sick. Dylan’s favorite pastimes are taking naps, laying in direct sunlight and sleeping on heating vents in the winter. He is a lovable and loyal companion that is our best friend. |
